my funky mood=nothing to say! :(

I just got back from Niki's little shindig. What a crazy mess that was! There were soooo many people there, and quite a few that were actually fairly unwelcome, which made for an evening ripe with tension. yippee. I thought it was really odd how, even after all this time, and even after saying how much we love each other and have missed each other, we managed to sit in our little cliques from last year. There was this whole third floor/second floor thing last year in the sorority house. Basically the people on the second floor were the kinds of people you probably would find in a typical sorority. They were all prissy and girly, and "oh, let's shower before class." Then there was the third floor clan. (Guess which one I lived on). The third floor was infamous for many things, among which were farting contests, burping contests, porn night, running around in their underwear (okay, that was just me), and then there were all the drunken orgies (me again). But anyway, my entire sorority experience was basically about being a member of one of two groups. When we all got to the restaurant tonight, the second floor people all sat at one table, and the third floor people all sat at one across the room. I don't know if this was itnentional or not, cause I was a little late in my arrival (I was preening, since I'm such a girly-girl and all). Definitely some deja vous going on right there.

Oh, I made a flying leap into the mid-1990s yesterday while doing research with Joe. Joe is a professor at the gerontology school here and I work with him once a week for a couple of hours doing research. Just a little background info for your reading enjoyment. So anyway, I had the pleasure of using a laptop computer yesterday to enter data. Okay, I'll admit. I've never used a laptop before in my life. Sorry, I'm just not that cool. But I don't want Joe to think I'm a total moron, so of course I refused to ask for help. And then managed to unplug all of the lamps in the office. woo hoo!

I don't really have anything special to say tonight, really. I'm in kind of a funky mood. The only good thing about this weekend so far is that it officially started at 3:15 today. My one class tomorrow was cancelled! I'm gonna sleep in like craziness. I think I'm just gonna sit in my room and drink. Yeah, that's not odd.
